Notes With Attachments - Pino Palladino and Blake Mills (2021)

Palladino (o_O) and Mills have over 300 recording credits between them, including several of favorites of mine, and the other personnel on here add over 350 more.

This is is a quick half hour of great work from a ton of experienced studio hands. It’s no surprise that the guy who played bass on several D’Angelo albums would make music that sounds a lot like D’Angelo in places, but paired with Mills’ oddball, experimental guitar work it makes for some delightful twists and turns.

Also, just have to point this out: bonus chutzpah points to saxophonist Sam Gendel (o_O), who not only plays great on here but also got an “artwork and design” credit for typing the credits in, picking a font, and clicking “align right”.
