Divine - Ezechiel Pailhès (2012)
Pailhès does some really interesting things with his recording techniques. There is a lot of commonplace melody with a lot of odd flourishes and interesting side trips.
It never delves too deep into what you’d call dancefloor music, but it keeps the beat well and expands slowly as you listen.
Vocals are often wordless but ridiculously catchy, and native French musical influences mix with more global pop ideas.
A very interesting spin.
