End of Year: some stuff I just got to at the end of 2024
Butterss is primarily a bassist, who’s played on records by Sasami, Makaya McCraven, Phoebe Bridgers, and Bridgers-adjacent Boygenius, as well as frequently collaborating with Jeff Parker.
That wide range of interests lends itself well to this freewheeling record of jazz / rock / post rock that swerves and dives through a great set of compositions.
