Ghosts - Hania Rani (2023)
Rani creates odd but beautiful soudscapes, and then add her twee vocals on top of a lot of them. The beats are understated and the overall vibe is comforting, even if the details seem nervous when focused on.
It occasionally feels spooky but resolves back into elegant, sedate beauty.
There is a lot of detail here in the overlaid keyboards and programmed rhythm tracks. It will no doubt reward more listening.
