This is Ganavya’s second release of 2024. I really enjoyed the previous one, Like the sky I’ve been too quiet.
This is a mix of south asian religious music, apparently, though I know very little about it. The second half is an adaptation of John Coltrane’s own journey of discovery and spirituality, A Love Supreme.

The list of collaborating artists appearing includes personal favorites Vijay Iyer and Esperanza Spalding, among many others.
The whole thing is beautifully meditative and calming.
