Convex - Nym (2015)

Loci Records is a lot more than just label head Doug Appling’s Emancipator (o_O, O_o). There’s a wide range of gorgeous and worthwhile deep listen music in their catalog.

Nym–I assume–has a conventional human name that they don’t provide in their bio copy. The primary project is sustainability-minded gardening, but they fund some of their work by making these records. There might be a research paper in here analyzing the eco-consciousness of their IRL endeavors and the way they put together these soundscapes; that’s not for me to write, tho.

The upside of being a bit “samey” is that if you’re into it, it’s a solid listen end-to-end.
