A Midsummer’s Night Dream - Oberon (1971)

British psych / prog / folk from basically amateurs. The only album they recorded. It’s really something. Excellent sense of momentum. Don’t know the biographical details of why they didn’t continue recording, but this a really great slab of music. Kind of King Crimson, kind of Fairport Convention.

Songs I liked:
Minas Tirith - a band that sounds like this is wasted if they don’t have a song about Middle Earth featuring a lengthy drum break

Nottamun Town - not a surprise that Dylan pilfered the melody for Masters Of War, but here it is.
