Bleacher Creature - Crispin Wah (2022)

ideated from: the excellent Heavy Blog, who have exquisite tastes and always find interesting stuff I wouldn’t have heard about otherwise, both metal and non-metal.

This is some trippy, psychedelic hip hop that’s built with a lot of sampled and looped guitar along with the normal drum programming and synths that you’d expect.

They’re definitely able to create something you haven’t heard before. It’s not too insistent, but it’s not background music, either. It’s smooth, but also weird and choppy. If you read this space, you know how much I love those kinds of contradictions.
