Submarine Bells - The Chills (1989)

I’ve been slipping on getting time to write these things up, and it got worse while traveling the last few days. Please forgive my recent succinctness.

A New Zealand jangle pop outfit who put out a number of solid records in the late 80s and early 90s. AllMusic tells me they reformed in the 2010s and released more music, but I’m unfamiliar with it.

What I do know about them is that I picked this up from a cutout cassette bin on a recommendation from a guy on an email list. It’s a fun album that packs more punch than you might expect once you get into it.
