Onda - Jambinai (2019)

Say you’re a group of Korean arts students studying traditional Korean music at an arts college. What are you going to do with that knowledge? Clearly you’re going to start a massive-sounding post-rock band that works a lot of those traditional instruments into your music. What could be more natural?

Seriously, tho, this album is incredible. My understanding is that there wasn’t an actual haegeum played on Suga’s recent banger of that name (I know: it means other stuff too. I’ve attended the TEDxWife talk several times), but these guys really do feature a haegeum prominently
