Saturno 2000 - La Rebajada de Los Sonideros 1962-1983
Rebajada means “slowed down”. Sonidero is a Mexican term for a DJ, specifically one who spins more traditional latin dances. This style is basically a Mexican culture of those records thrown through some dub-like processing with speeds slowed down.
It’s pretty great. Compare, for instance, the original of the titular Los Santos track and see how much more dancable it is when slowed down a bit. A nifty innovation on some already great music.
