Nasty Gal - Betty Davis (1975)
The market for 70s funk didn’t appreciate Davis. She was Megan Thee Stallion 40 years too soon. An unrestrained and overtly sexual personality with music that was house-burning, foot-stomping, roof-raising funk. “Dirty” in pretty much every sense of the word, and absolutely fabulous.
I listened to Dedicated To The Press about six times in a row before going on.
