The mid-90s were a prime time for music to take drugs to make music to. Stereolab had some serious ambition to go along with their trippy, hazy vision, and they made a string of great records in the 90s.
They were pioneers in making rock that didn’t sound like rock, paving the way for a whole spectrum of artists and genres in the next decades.
