A Grand Stream - Smote (2024)
I had to call an audible and put on something that might sooth my nerves. This did not do that. But it is an interesting listen–interesting, scary, claustrophobic, unrelenting.
From the liner notes, it appears it’s supposed to be life affirming proposition. Which is fine, but maybe I’m just not trying to affirm the same sort of life?
It’s a pretty striking record, whatever the context.
