II - Kiasmos (2024)
No one has ever said that what Olafur Arnalds needs to improve his work is a creative partner, but this shows how Arnalds can collaborate as well as innovate.
Most of his work could be lumped under Modern classical and presents as serious and somber. That wouldn’t be fair, but it would be understandable. While he’s no stranger to trippy beats and playful synth bloops, a lot of his work sounds “soundtrack-y”.
Most of Arnalds’ solo and soundtrack work. Here he and his partner Janus Rasmussen cut loose into much freer, more fun territory.
