Kind of a minor band from the early 80s underground rock scene, but one that had an outsized influence on the sound.
dBs mainstays Chris Stamey and Peter Holsapple are both well-respected role-players in American rock. Stamey came to my attention playing in Bob Mould’s early road band (o_O) and Holsapple as an occasional fifth member of REM. Drummer Will Rigby also played for Matthew Sweet.
