Samurai - Lupe Fiasco (2024)
Lupe Fiasco is always looking to do a little more than just spit. He’s looking to do much more with hip hop than a lot of his peers. I’ve complained a bunch of places on here about how a lot of mainstream hip hop doesn’t do itself any favors by being so nihilistic and hackneyed. You can miss Lupe with all that.
Great flow and understated beats let him explore some deep themes, both singing and rapping in his dense, sometimes cryptic lyrics.
