Arthur Verocai - Arthur Verocai (1972)

Verocai recorded this visionary post-Tropicalia, pre-art rock album of jazz, funk, folk, and rock and then gave up on recording his own music due to the political climate of Brazil at the time. He spent most of the rest of his career as a producer and writer.

This is a really interesting listen. It brings together a lot of more North American music that was bursting out in the 70s and a bossa nova-based Brazilian sensibility. Is there a Brazilian sensibility? No idea. But I had to write something as this was playing.
