If / When - Tea Club (2019)

An unassuming album that gets into your head, sets up the grill, and invites the neighbors over. The band is mostly conventional, but occasionally steps into some more challenging and unpredictable territory.

There are a few quiet passages that are so infuriatingly quiet they’re almost impossible to hear. I have to assume that’s on purpose, but I didn’t care for it.

Tracks I Liked

If I Mean When - probably the best track; a solid mid-tempo anthem with great lyrics

Rivermen - much more aggressive and it works really well

Came At A Loss - wonderful harmonies

Rhythm Revolution
Ferry Djimmy
African funk lost classic
