Originally called Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr, they shortened the name to avoid internet search confusion, they say.

It’s all quite good but a little samey. The band being from Detroit might be incidental, but it’s interesting that they have some definite Motown gestures buried inside the synth- and drum machine-heavy indie pop sound.
