Moisturizer - Wet Leg (2025)

back to current music again, at least for a while

The first Wet Leg album was great. They were basically a duo at the time, with a hired band. Like a lot of people, the first thing I heard was the Chaise Longue single that was a major earworm that year.

They have since brought in those hired hands as bandmembers and are now a 5-piece. Singer Rhian Teasdale and guitarist Hester Chambers are still the creative force, and this is overall a much higher-level record than the good effort of the first one.

Hooks for days, memorable melodies, clever lyrics, a nasty sense of humor, and great feel for the theatrical make Wet Leg stand out.

Guitar rock is in good shape if this is any indication.

CPR and Catch These Fists are both bangers that I hope will stick around.
