A new discovery this year that I’ve really enjoyed. d’Ecco seems to get categorized as a glam rock revivalist, but his stuff is way more diverse and complex than that.

There’s also a ton of early 80s synth-driven funk, along with a very show-tune-y embellishments.

Strings, horns, piano, and synthesizers layer up in to interesting little sound worlds. Then you get his voice adding an 80s Bowie sort of vibe.

We’ll definitely be listening to more of this guy.
