Nanocluster Vol 1 - Immersion (2021)

Immersion is a collab between Malka Spigel and Wire frontman Colin Newman.

Here they mix it up further with a bunch of other contributors. The music was recorded quickly and impromptu for a series of DJ sets curated by Immersion in Brighton.

It’s hard to pick a genre tag here. Definitely electronic but not in a dub or house or techno kinda way. It’s a chill trip with plenty of beauty and enough variety to reward relistens.

Skylarks - German electronic composer Ulrich Schnauss gets in on the action with a typically elegant piece.

So Much Green - modern sounding instrumental but with kind of an old school Cluster and Eno edge to it.
