Terauchi and his band, Blue Jeans, combined American surf rock with traditional Japanese music to make something that sounded a lot like both not exactly like either.
These tunes are rip-roaring fun.
As I often say, these sorts of things would never get heard by people outside of Japan or under a certain age if not for the timelessness of internet reissues. We live in remarkable times.
