Thursday’s Child - TXT (2022)

I wasn’t sure if I’d have time to listen to a full album this morning from my hotel before my busy day started. The wife’s suggestion was the new EP from TXT, wifely favorite and BTS label-mates. Spotify says they’re called TOMORROW X TOGETHER, but if I know anything about KPop, I’m betting nobody actually calls them that.

These guys are definitely more rock-oriented than BTS and other top KPop bands I’ve heard, but they do a good job of it. This is a… concept EP? about a first break-up, and lyrics seem raw and heartfelt with a bit of dark humor.

Musically it’s pretty conventional pop rock, but with some extra harmonies that make it very pleasant. A nice change of pace from my usual rounds.
