Acoustic guitar and strings anchor this really solid record. It sounds primarily like modern folk, but the instrumentation and the willingness to go to full-blown crescendo make it much more than that. It builds from pastoral slow sections to frantic post-hardcore and back again.

Whether it’s acoustic or electric, loud or quiet, this record is consistently strong throughout.
