Sides - Lean Year (2022)
I listened to this on a whim, and I’m so glad I did. It’s an absolutely gorgeous and heartbreaking record, dwelling on loss and how to cope with it.
The instrumentation is very understated and elegant, which just makes you lean into Emilie Rex’s vocals all the more.
It’s absolutely enthralling from end-to-end.
