Things I Missed
As hard as I’ve tried at times, I can’t hear everything.
Every year I get to the end of the year and start seeing everybody else’s best-of-the-year lists. There is inevitably some great stuff I didn’t come across at all during the year. When that happens it usually means more playlists (because that’s what I do) titled things like “jazz I missed 2021” or “metal i should have listened to 2019.”
So I’ll spend a week or so going back over some of my “things I missed” sorts of lists from what other people liked at the time.
