Visions Of Us On The Land - Damien Jurado (2016)
_Ideated from: March of years past. Also on the March 2016 list: The Bonnevilles, BJ The Chicago Kid, and Mind Spiders.
Jurado pops up in my recommendations and my play history fairly often, but I’ve never known much about him. This one seems to be a bit more spooky and psychedelic than some of his earlier records, but his plaintive tenor voice and great ear for a good lyric makes it sound like a lot of his other work.
Tracks I Liked
QACHINA - an oddball soundtrack to an imaginary sci fi film that takes place on a planet full of mountains and clouds
Exit 353 - high and lonesome, with some Glen Campbell and A Horse With No Name
