Ninety - 808 State (1989)

Late-80s Manchester Acid House, more on the electronic end than most. This approach fused Detroit and Chicago electronic sounds with early British rave culture. It’s trippy and dancable without being too dense. The sonics are a little bit dated, but it’s an impressive piece of work that paved the way for much more ambitious electronic music in the 90s.
