Mods Carve The Pig - Thought Industry (1993)

Pretty sure that’s the band members worked into a Dali (or Dali-inspired) painting on the cover. Kind of apt.

Full title is “Mods Carve The Pig - Assassins, Toads, and God’s Flesh” which is a long title but I wanted it in here because 1) it’s kind of awesome and 2) nothing makes me appreciate a progressive thrash band more than the use of the oxford comma.

Basically, in case you’re bored with Mr Bungle, or you don’t think the free-association slap-funk of the Minutemen goes hard enough, or haven’t heard me go off about Pop Will Eat Itself yet, here’s your 80s art-trash metal fix.

Tracks I Liked

Gelatin - a sort of Zeppelin-on-speed groove

Worms Listen - The lyric probably makes sense to someone, but the tune is great.
