The Book Room - Kilchhofer (2018)

Swiss electronic oddball Benjamin Kilchhofer has a very distinctive sound. It’s mostly electronic, but has a lot of organic heart and feel to it.

The long drones and washes might make you think it’s an ambient record in places, but it’s much busier than you might notice at first.

It reminds me a lot of some 70s drone rock and kosmische like Cluster and Ash Ra Tempel, but it has a very modern personality and tonality to it.
