Amplified Heart was an early bonding piece for my wife and me. Like a lot of people, we got into it because of a club mix of the single, then realized what a beautiful and heartfelt record it was once we had the whole thing playing. There were a couple of other EBTG albums that we liked fine, but then when they stopped recording, we moved on.
Fast forward 24 years, and we have a new EBTG album. It’s got a lot of the electronic and dance trappings but is still a pop record at its heart, full of gorgeous melodies and deep feelings.
