At the end of the 80s, I think no one was quite sure what jazz was going to look like in the 90s. It didn’t stop lots of people from having their own ideas about it.

Fest’s samba- and bossa-flavored lite jazz was as good a candidate as any.

Not the hardest bopping you’ll ever hear, but not boring either.
