In Spades - Afghan Whigs (2017)
I’ve made a couple of passing mentions of Greg Dulli (o_O O_o), the smoky-voiced frontman of Afghan Whigs. I haven’t written the band up yet. A little odd, as one of my favorite 90s albums is theirs (it just missed the 1994 thread, probably why i haven’t written it up).
The Whigs weren’t really a thing in the aughts, but they came back together and have made several great records starting in 2014.
Dulli’s voice alternates between sweet and threatening, sometimes in the same song.
