Robot Hive / Exodus - Clutch (2005)
Clutch follows a King Gizzard business model of just touring non-stop and morphing their sound to suit their whims over the years.
They’ve created a devoted fanbase and a string of fun records that are hard to argue against.
This one is maybe slightly more 70s bluesy rock than some of their offerings, but it’s still riff-heavy stonerism all the way through.
Lyrically, it reminds me a bit of one of their obvious influences, Captain Beefheart.
Always fun, always engaging, always makes me wish a bit that I still did the get-stoned-and-deep-listen-to-a-record thing.
