A Fossil Begins To Bray - Hiro Kone (2019)
The somewhat impenetrable copy on the BC page says that this is a study in “the power of absence.” It has a very dense sound that might make you think this was going to be industrial / techno noise, but it defies expecations by never quite resolving into what it you thought you were getting.
The space and emptiness left over are an interesting statement about what we expect from a genre of music, I think, and how that expectation can be subverted.
