Horse Solider! Horse Soldier! - Corb Lund (2007)
Lund has a pretty extensive discography but I’ve only just recently heard about him. This is a concept album more or less built around war, although in many different ways. The first two tracks (both utterly brilliant) are about the history of horses in war. Then we branch off into other things, some horse-related, most at least partially war-related.
It’s all really well done. Lund is a great singer and his lyrics are fantastically vivid.
