The Year In Immersive 2024
So, so much good concentration music this year. The biggest standout for me was Fabiano do Nascimento and Sam Gendel’s collab, The Room. My write-up will publish next week sometime (Ed: ahem…), but there has basically never been a time since it came out that I couldn’t have had it playing and been quite happy with it.
Some other highlights:
Vijay Iyer’s trio with Linda Oh and Tyshawn Sorey was the other most-played album of the year
Another brilliant outing for Kelly Moran
Memory Drawings was a great new find.
