In Search Of A Song - Tom T. Hall (1971)

Hall made a habit of traveling far and wide, striking up conversations and meeting people that he’d weave into his narrative songs. How much actual biographical detail bled into these songs is up for some debate, but it’s a legend that fits the man well. His songs were always a ground-level examination of a small slice of life. Sometimes they were funny, sometimes heartbreaking, but always compelling.
