I guess either you hit ctrl-W or you don’t when you see a brain-injury-level metal album pop up here. Welcome if you’re one of the interesting people still reading.

The tropes do run straight death metal in a lot of places, but they also take ample time out for guitar soloing and non-growly vocals, along with the periodic stretch into old-school thrash.

This is a space where it’s hard to differentiate yourself to all but the most dedicated listeners–which I am not–but these guys do a good job of sounding distinctive.

I haven’t gotten to a lot of death metal in 2025 but this one is top of list.
