Devil's Music - Teddy Bears (2010)

There’s a strong tradition of globally successful pop music from Sweden. ABBA, Roxette, Max Martin productions, Robyn. As far as I know, none of the other entries in that list wear giant teddy bear head masks on stage.

I have no idea if it’s accurate to compare this band to Gorillaz, but there’s some of the same energy: a definite sound that is willing to morph to fit the wide array of guest artists they feature.

Teddy Bears is definitely distictive. LCD Soundsystem-style electro-punk with driving beats and memorable choruses.

Tracks I Liked

Rocket Scientist - There are tracks after this one, but good luck not just hitting repeat

Get Mama A House - a rock n roll success story

Cardiac Arrest - Robyn does a wicked cover of Cobrastyle from the previous Teddy Bears record. Here she gets her own feature.
