The anarchopunk movement has a lot of connection to the Situationist International, an art and political movement that was kind of a nexus for all the various countercultures of the later 20th century.

quick aside: it’s funny how anarchists / libertarians / syndicalists / etc always seem to crop up in places like London, where there is already a system of public services, basic rule of law, and well-developed infrastructure, almost like it takes a lot of societal organization to allow people to think that society has to go.

But whatever else you want to say about their politics, they weren’t dilettantes. From the wiki:

The address used on the front cover was of the Freedom Press bookshop in London, as all band members were living in squats and co-ops at the time, and did not have a permanent address

Oh yeah, the music. It’s unexciting but competent second wave punk.
