Omnisphere - Medeski Martin & Wood with Alarm Will Sound (2018)

I’ve talked about MMW before, and about how they are always restless to find something new. The same could be said for Alarm Will Sound, a collective of classical musicians who are always searching for ways to show the relevance of orchestral music in the new century.

If there’s one thing MMW loves, it’s atmosphere. They do better than about anyone else in evoking exactly the aura they mean to with each track. The chamber orchestra on stage with them gives them that many more colors to paint with, and the canvas gets filled.
