Chinese Butterfly - Chick Corea & Steve Gadd (2018)
Gadd (-_-) has drummed on hundreds of recordings, including lengthy stints with Chuck Mangione, George Benson, and Paul Simon. He also has a long history with Corea, his Return To Forever project, and its various offshoots.
The two leaders and their band turn in a perfectly excellent set of modern melodic fusion. Maybe just a little time-locked, since this sounds a lot like the Return To Forever heyday of the 70s, but nobody would try to tell you these guys can’t still get after it.
