Old Things and new from my 2023 blogging

there will be some obligatory “best of 2023” things coming, but of course to me that’s arbitrary.

There is no sell-by date on good music.

If I hear an amazing Argentinian prog or German psych pop record from the 70s in 2023, I don’t like it any less because of the date on it.

I’ve been making an effort to learn Spanish this year, which has led me to a whole lot of Spanish and Latin music. It’s a world I’d never really known about but is full of amazing sounds; some familiar, some less so.

I also have a couple different tags for music that I got to revisit, as well as a bunch of things that landed in my inbox because I’d forgotten about them a bit.
